Since 2009, VLSound has shipped fourteen proprietary synthesis and processing engines — each hand-architected in our Berlin and Brooklyn studios. This is the index. Every name, every spec, every format support matrix, every use case it was built for.

Built like instruments, not apps.
Every VLSound engine ships with the same four-panel architecture: Source, Shape, Sequence, Send. Modulation routing is identical across the catalog — any source can drive any destination in any engine — so when you learn Pyrite's mod matrix, you already know how to drive Kaleidoscope's.
Presets are designed with eight macro controls surfaced at the top level, no exceptions. That constraint is deliberate: it forces our sound designers to commit to a musical idea rather than ship a tweak playground. If a preset can't survive being reduced to eight knobs, it doesn't ship.
Format support is non-negotiable. Every engine runs as VST3, AU and CLAP on macOS, Windows and Linux, and every flagship engine also ships AAX. We do not maintain platform-specific builds. We do not charge for updates. We do not require iLok.
The engines are the system.
