SOUND DESIGNERS · TEAM 01 / 01
Twenty-two
humans.
Zero stock
libraries.
Every preset in the VLSound catalog — every wavetable, every impulse response, every sampled note — was designed, recorded and curated by a named person on our payroll. Not a content farm. Not a model. Not a marketplace drop-ship.
ROSTER · LINER NOTES
Twenty-two named designers, every preset traceable to a face.
Treat this page like the inner sleeve of a record: name, instrument, city, one selected credit. Pull-quotes from the working credits on each row — no stock photography, no AI portraits.

Every VLSound designer holds working credits on commercial releases. The industry trend is to license stock content from anonymous contractors — we do the opposite and put our roster on the page.
VOICE · 02 / 02
A note from the design team lead
“We don't license stock, we don't run a marketplace, and we don't generate presets with a model. Every patch you load was designed by one of the twenty-two people on this page — someone whose name is on a record you have probably heard. That is the entire pitch. If you can put a face to every wavetable, you don't need to scroll through eight thousand anonymous presets to find something that sounds like a person made it.”
Anya Markwardt · Lead Sound Designer · Berlin
The point is not nostalgia for hand-made gear — it is accountability. A named designer can be wrong about a preset, can be overruled by the QA team, can be asked to redo a wavetable. An anonymous stock library cannot be overruled, because nobody is responsible for it. Every release on the VLSound catalog is signed, dated, and traceable to one of the twenty-two rooms in Berlin, Brooklyn, Nashville and Tokyo where the work was actually done.
CLOSING · HEAR THE WORK
3,200+ presets.
Four studios.
Twenty-two humans.
One catalog.
The roster built it. The library holds it. Every patch is signed, every engine is proprietary, every license is perpetual.
